Ring Groups is a feature that allows calls to be routed to multiple extensions and/or external numbers.
To access the Ring Groups page, do the following:
Ring-Group Number is the internal number that will be used for your Ring Group.
Group Description can be used to further describe your Ring Group.
Ring Strategy is used to select how you want the assigned members of this group to be called.
You can define a prefix to be added before the CID through Caller ID Prefix.
Ignore Call Forward will skip over any extensions that have Call Forwarding enabled.
Skip Busy Extensions skips over any extensions that are currently in a call.
Record Calls, when set to 'Yes', automatically records calls routed to and answered by this group.
Distinct Ring is used to give a distinctive ring to Aastra and Polycom devices.
To add members, you can select extensions on the right side under Available Extensions.
When an extension is selected, their box will highlight with a light blue.
After selecting the ones you want, press the Add button.
To add an external number, you would type the 10 digit external number starting with the area code
(without spaces of symbols), then press the small Add button on the bottom.
To remove assigned members, you would select them on the left side under Assigned Members.
When selected, their boxes will highlight in blue. You can then press the Remove button.
Save any changes made. (using S.A.C - Submit, Apply, Continue)
