The Directory section allows you to define different lists of Extensions to be listed to a caller.
You can use this feature to help direct callers to their wanted extension.
To access the Directory page, do the following:
Login to the administrative side of your PBX (*.freevoicepbx.com/maint).
Hover over PBX and click PBX Setup.
Select Directory from the menu on the left side of the page under General.
Configure the new Directory as needed. More detailed descriptions of the configuration is listed below.
Directory Name is where you would set your new directory's name.
Directory Description can be used to further describe your directory.
You can define a prefix to be added before the CID through CallerID Name Prefix.
Alert Info is where you can define ALERT_INFO that can be used for distinctive ring for SIP devices.
The announcement is an audio recording that will be played when a call is directed to this directory.
Invalid Retries states the number of re-tries a caller is allowed before going to the invalid destination.
Invalid Retry Recording is the audio recording played after receiving an invalid entry before prompting the caller to try again.
Invalid Recording is the audio recording played after the max invalid retries and before the call is routed to the Invalid Destination.
Invalid Destination is used to define the destination the call will be routed to after the Invalid Retries.
Return to IVR will return the call to an IVR, instead of the Invalid Destination, if it came from one.
Announce Extension will announce the extension the call is being transferred to, prior to being transferred.
Here you can add in entries to be used in your directory.
When an entry is added, you can define what name they will be listed as, the announcement played when the entry is selected,
and where the call will be routed to when chosen (this can be an extension or a custom dialstring).
