Paging and Intercom is used to setup paging for your phone system.
You can choose which devices, or even extensions, will be paged.
To access the Paging and Intercom page, do the following:
Under Paging Extension, you would specify what extension number you would call to use this paging group.
Group Description allows you to change the name of the Paging Group for easier identification.
Device List allows you to choose which devices you want to page to, via extension number.
If Force if busy box is checked, it will not check if the previously selected devices are busy, and will force the page through.
When you have Duplex box checked, this allows the paged device to communicate back through the page connection.
Treat this feature as changing the page to an "instant conference".
Having Default Page Group checked would allow this group of devices to be specified as the default page group.
The difference between a default page group and a regular page group would be when editing or creating a new extension. In the extension setup page, a new option will appear under 'Default Group Inclusion'. Here you can actively choose whether you would like this extension to be included or excluded from the default page group, without having to go and change it on the Paging and Intercom section.
